GIFT HOPE MGM 2023
Wednesday, November 29 | 4:30 – 6:30 pm |
Stegall Fellowship Hall at First United Methodist Church, 2415 W. Cloverdale Rd., Montgomery

Join us at the First United Methodist Church on Wednesday, November 29th from 4:30pm – 6:30pm, where you can learn about the non-profit work of the Capital Area Adult Literacy Council and many other River Region non-profits, buy alternative gifts of support for people on your shopping list, and enjoy snacks, activities, holiday music, and door prizes while you shop.

Gift Hope 2023 is a Christmas-time event to raise funds for River Region nonprofits, including CAALC, and to educate the community about the work these organizations do. This annual one-stop shopping opportunity to make a donation in the name of individuals you wish to honor. The “shopper” receives a card and envelope to complete and give to the gift recipient announcing the gift/gifts in the recipient’s honor and the name and services of the designated nonprofit(s). Give Hope This Christmas to someone in need.

By making a purchase through Gift Hope this year, you are helping to fund specific needs of the Capital Area Adult Literacy Council and other nonprofit organizations – for example, books and educational materials for adults who struggle with reading, a week’s worth of hot meals for an elderly couple in need, or one night’s shelter for a homeless family. Gifts will be available at various price points from $5 to $50. Your donation is tax-deductible.

If you cannot join us in-person on Nov 29th, there is also an “online shopping” option!  Gift Hope shopping is available online at fumcmontgomery.org/gifthope/ from November 29 through December 11.  Brief videos featuring each nonprofit, a link to their website, and a shopping menu of available gifts will be online beginning on November 29.
