GIFT HOPE MGM 2022
Saturday, December 3 | 10 am – Noon | Cloverdale Park, 2415 W. Cloverdale Rd., Montgomery Gift Hope 2022, the annual, community wide, alternative gift fair, will feature numerous nonprofits that serve “the least of these” in our community and will offer shoppers the opportunity to make a donation for specific items in honor of another. Give Hope This Christmas to someone in need. It will be the perfect Christmas gift for: children and grandchildren of all ages, teachers, colleagues, friends, and loved ones who are “hard to shop for”. New this year (!) will be Christmas music by First United Methodist Church’s children’s choirs, games for children, door prizes and That’s My Dog food truck. By supporting Gift Hope, you are helping to fund specific needs of the Capital Area Adult Literacy Council and other nonprofit organizations – for example, books and educational materials for adults who struggle with reading, a week’s worth of hot meals for an elderly couple in need, or one night’s shelter for a homeless family. (Gifts will be available at a variety of prices, most starting at $5.) The gift recipient will receive from the gift purchaser a card announcing the gift made in the recipient’s name and the name of the designated nonprofits. Join us at the the outdoor community event in Cloverdale Park on Saturday, December 3rd from 10:00am – 12:00pm, where you can learn about the non-profit work of the Capital Area Adult Literacy Council and many other River Region non-profits, buy alternative gifts of support for people on your shopping list, and enjoy food and activities while you shop. There will also be an “online shopping” option as well! Gift Hope shopping is available online at www.fumcmontgomery.org/gifthope/ from November 20 through December 6. Brief videos featuring each nonprofit, a link to their website, and a shopping menu of gifts will be available online beginning on November 20. Comments are closed.
